Tambo to Barcaldine

Early start from Tambo.
Morning coffee at Blackall. Visited the Black Stump
Checked in to the Homestead Park. Spent a couple of hours at the “Australian Workers Heritage Centre”. Huge amount of exhibits showing the contributions of workers over the years. Well worth a visit.
The town was the centre of the 1890s shearers strike, which in turn was the beginning of trade unions in Australia and the Australian Labor Party.
